Eurocopter AS332 Super Puma - Major League Aviation™
Illustrated on this Major League Aviation™ t-shirt is the Eurocopter AS332 Super Puma. The Eurocopter AS332 Super Puma is a four-bladed, twin-engine, medium-size utility helicopter marketed for both civil and military use. Originally designed and built by Aérospatiale, it is an enlarged and re-engined version of the original Aérospatiale Puma. In the United States, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) Aero Bureau will be operating three Eurocopter AS332 L1 Super Pumas. The three helicopters are replacing the modified Sikorsky SH-3H Sea Kings currently operated by the department since 2000. The Super Puma first flew on 13 September 1978.
