:spreadshop: How to integrate Spreadshop into Facebook

Hello I was wondering how to intergrate spreadshirt shop on facebook where the customers will redirect to my spreadshirt site like this for example https://www.facebook.com/commerce/products/1948526315267581/

Hey there!

That example product listing is a feature from FB’s Business Manager.
Whilst FB calls this a Shop solution it is only a Page Tab, mirroring your Shop’s article content by using your Spreadhop’s “Product Feed”

Here´s the requirements

  • create a FB Business Account and connect your brand’s FB profile to it
  • follow the steps from our FAQ video on how to Run a Product Feed with Facebook Business Manager
  • Go to your Catalog Overview Page. There should be a link that says “Open a Shop”
  • follow the instructions or use the official Help Pages
  • enjoy your Spreadshop products on FB

Please note that FB often changes the wording and userflows within the Business Manager.
But in the end the set up is quite simple.

A big advantage of connecting your shop to FB is also that you can now tag your products within image posts.
And if you have a Instagram Profile that is connected to your FB page, you can tag your products on IG as well.

I’ll look into this as a while back I was thinking about having Spreadshirt on one of my t-shirt pages.

Thanks for the info Thomas.

If I’m understanding this correctly we can either use the product feed to build a Facebook shop or we can just embed our store via linking in a Facebook custom tab? If so, which would you recommend? Mind you my Spreadshop is already embedded in a Wordpress page so would I just link to that? I’d love some more videos on how others are using Facebook interconnection to sell products.

Hey there!
Yes, you understood this right.
Though these two solutions are available, I have no informations yet, which implementation has a better conversion or interaction rate. I remember even a third option, but that one requires regular manual efforts. (see #1)

  1. Manual Shop Set Up
The Shop Owner created all product images and added the product informations, pricings & links by hand.
Advantage: Full control over the look & feel of your shop products. Disadvantage: Changes within your Shop´s pricing, link structure or assortment need to be implemented manually

  2. Product Feed populated Shop
The Shop comes with a Listpage layout and offers only some simple adjustment options.
Advantage: FB displays a Product Slider on top of your Community Page. This increases the visibility of your products. You may even tag products within model photos, as FB literally “knows” your assortment.
Disadvantage: Non appealing layout and user flow, especially for Shops with a bigger product range.

  3. Custom Tab
_The tab embedds any webpage you’d like to. Advantage: Standalone Shops can be displayed and offer their full functionality, from product detail pages to checkout. All Shop made assortment, layout or pricing changes are available in real time. Disadvantage: While the Tab only offers ~805px width, it needs to render the content around your embedded shop, too. That squeezes your whole website a bit, which does not always look naturally like your origin webshop _
