Illustrated on this Major League Aviation™ t-shirt is the Major League Recon™ EP-3E Aries II design. The Lockheed Martin EP-3E Aries II is the signals reconnaissance version of the P-3 Orion. The EP-3E Aries II (Airborne Reconnaissance Integrated Electronic System) is a four-engine turboprop land-based Multi-Intelligence reconnaissance aircraft developed for the United States Navy. The EP-3E ARIES II is the Navy's only land-based reconnaissance aircraft. Lockheed based it on the L-188 Electra commercial airliner. The EP-3E can employ a wide range of electronic emissions from deep within targeted territory with the use of sensitive receivers and high-gain dish antennas. With every aircraft type there is a story; the engineers that designed the craft, the personnel that helped build and test it, the crews that work on board them every day and of course the ground personnel who work so hard
