Kati Kuri are located in the South Island of New Zealand, a Hapu of the Iwi Ngai Tahu, Kāti Kurī, occupied Kaikōura in the early 18th century. Though attacked and ravaged by Te Rauparaha, a North Island Tribesman, Kati Kuri survived and have once more grown in strength and achievements. Both as people in their own right and as a part of the Ngai Tahu Iwi.
