How do I convert a pixel design to a vector design for plot printing (Flex / Flock)?
Pixel designs cannot be used for plot printing. In order to do this, they must be converted into vector designs.
You can completely do this, or at least make good headway, with a conversion program such as CorelTrace.
In this type of a program it is possible to open the pixel design and vectorize it "along the curves".
This program automatically creates curves along the shape of the design. You can save this curve and edit it in a vector design program.
Note: In general, converting photographs into a printable vector design is difficult and requires a lot of time and effort.
