How do I create a pixel design (e.g. from a photo) that meets all requirements for digital printing?
Printing on Clothing and Mousepads
So that we can print your design on clothing and mousepads, your design (e.g. photo) must
- be saved as .png, .jpg, .bmp, or .gif (transparent formats, i.e. .gif or .png, are preferred)
- have a minimum resolution of 200 dpi
- maximum size of 3000 x 3000 pixels
- and a maximum file size of 3 mb
The exact description of the printable area can be found in the product details. Be aware that the design size should fit the print area. Minimizing the design is always a possibility without losing picture quality, however, enlargements are not since the design will appear "pixelated".
Printing on Buttons
The mentioned requirements also apply for printing on buttons. The minimum graphic resolution should be no less than 400 dpi.
*Special note for shop owners: Digital designs are printed in CMYK color mode for orders. However the display in the Spreadshirt shop is RGB. Make sure to check your design in both palettes for best quality. We also recommend uploading transparent .png or .gif files.
