What should I know before uploading my design?

As registered member, you can upload vector design formats (.eps) as well as pixel design formats (.bmp, .jpg, .gif and .png).

Vector designs are necessary for plot printing, whereas pixel designs are for digital printing.

If you want to upload a design to the Spreadshirt Designer in order to buy directly you must use the pixel format. The reason for that is explained below.

Requirements for Vector Designs:

In order to use plot printing, your vector design must follow a few guidelines (i.e. compliance of the minimum line thickness, fulfillment of the minimum font size, a maximum three color design and no gradient).

Our service team will review whether or not you have met these requirements before approving your design for release. This process can take up to 1 week, although most designs will be reviewed within 2 business days. If your design doesn't meet the given requirements you will be informed through email that is has been denied.

Requirements for Pixel Designs:

Because designs in the Spreadshirt Designer are available immediately, it is currently only possible to upload pixel designs. By submitting your pixel designs you assure that no third party rights have been violated. Any designs with violations will be rejected and you will be notified through email.

Limitations for uploading designs:

As the owner of a standard account you are allowed to upload three vector designs free of charge. Every time ten of your individually designed products have been sold, we will provide you with five additional vector design uploads. If you want more uploads, you can pay a $5 activation fee. As a Premium member you are able to upload an unlimited number of vector designs, up to 20 designs per day are allowed.

The only limitation to uploading pixel designs is that you cannot exceed more than 20 per day.
