What should I know before uploading my design?
As a registered member, you can upload vector design formats (.eps) as well as pixel design formats (.bmp, .jpg, .gif and .png.) Vector designs are required for our plot printing techniques (flex and flock,) whereas pixel designs are used for digital printing. If you want to upload a design to the Spreadshirt Designer and buy directly, you must use the pixel format.
Requirements for Vector Designs:
In order to use plot printing, your vector design must follow a few guidelines (i.e. comply with the minimum line thickness, have minimum negative space, have no more than three colors and no color gradients).
Our Design Team will review whether or not you have met these requirements before approving your design for release. Most designs are reviewed within 2 business days. If your design does not meet the given requirements, we will send you an e-mail informing you that it has been denied.
Requirements for Pixel Designs:
As designs in the Spreadshirt Designer are available for immediate purchase, it is currently only possible to upload pixel designs into the T-shirt Designer. By submitting your pixel designs, you assure that no third party rights (copyrights) have been violated. Any designs with violations will be rejected and an e-mail will be sent to you. More information on pixel design requirements can be found in this helpful FAQ.
Restrictions for uploading graphics files:
As a registered Spreadshirt user, you can upload an initial number of 50 vector or pixel graphics to your user area, regardless whether your member status is Standard or Premium. In addition to that, premium members can upload a further 50 graphic files a day. Daily uploads for Standard Shops are limited to a further 5 graphic files a day.
Restrictions for uploading designs to the Spreadshirt Marketplace:
Yet another heart or a snapshot of grandma's dog – some designs are not suitable for Spreadshirt's Marketplace. Please have a look at our guidelines for Marketplace designs before adding a product with your design to the Marketplace.
