What differences are there in the requirements for uploading and printing images between spreadshirt.net and spreadshirt.com?
The requirements for the uploading and printing of designs is basically the same between the two platforms.
- Jump to the requirements for vector designs for .net (Europe) and for .com (North America)
- Jump to the requirements for pixel designs for .net (Europe) and for .com (North America)
There is a small, but subtle difference in how the two platforms print their Flex and Flock print designs. In both continents, the individual colors are cut out from a roll, placed onto a shirt and pressed on. The difference lies in how the colors are put together and this has an affect on how detailed your designs can be:
Spreadshirt.net prints in layers
The different colors are placed on top of each other as separate layers and pressed on.
- Benefit: A greater level of detail can be tolerated. See the minimum requirements stated for the uploaded file
- Disadvantage: The final print is thicker due to the separate layers on the t-shirt
Spreadshirt.com makes a jigsaw puzzle
The different areas of visible color are cut out separately, arranged on the shirt and pressed on.
- Benefit: The final print is thin and even
- Disadvantage: Due to the level of detail, strict compliance with the minimum requirements for uploading files is necessary
