Soon the summer will come to an end, and people will be looking for gifts for kids going (back) to school. Consider relatives looking for presents to surprise the little ones on their first day of school and to help those beginning a new stage of life when heading off to college for the first time. Find out how you can make use of the big rush, and spread happiness for little kids, college kids, teachers and your bank accountant.
Step 1 – Create Products for Your Target Group
Fill your shop with new products. The idea is to create appealing products for little ones who are new to school.

- Teddy Bear
- Kids’ T-Shirt
- Kids’ Hoodie
- Kids’ Ringer T-Shirt
- Kids’ Backpack
- Drawstring Bag
- Duffle Bag
- Water Bottle
Teens – cool stuff for the back of the bus:
- T-Shirt for boys and T-Shirt for girls
- Tank Top
- Shorts
- Unisex Hoodie
- College Jacket
- Phone Cases and iPad 2/3 Cover
- Tote Bag
- Travel Mug
Gifts for those with teacher crushes and those who are just pets:
Step 2 – Use Designs for Cool Kids & Top Teachers
Once you’ve decided on the products to include in your Shop, think of appropriate designs to adorn them with. Do you have fitting designs? Use this chance to create new designs to suit the occasion, or use some of the community designs in our Marketplace.
Here’s a selection of designs for inspiration:
- Designs for cool kids & students
- Cute and funny designs
- Subject related designs:
Literature Student Tee
Natural Science Tee
Engineer Tees
As always, tagging the designs with suitable keywords greatly improves your chances of others finding them. Tag suggestions here would be elementary school, school T-shirts, university, college T-shirts, graduation, etc.
Step 3 – Run Effective Social Media Campaigns
We’ve explained this on occasion, but it’s really important: whenever you use social media channels such as Facebook and the like, don’t go all gung-ho as in “Look at my awesome new shop products!” Spread the word gently and you’re bound to be more successful.
For example, you could share a Facebook post and add a link to your new product selection for Back to School Products. Perhaps you could recall a personal story from your first day at school, an anecdote from your time in middle or high school, or a funny thing that happened when you were at college.
An example: “Here’s something I’ve never told anyone: At my first day at school, I kept crying for my mother until the teacher called her at home, and she had to come back to collect me. She was so embarrassed that she told me to stop acting like a little baby in front of everybody, and that’s a lesson I never forgot.” Then link to your to your product selection – it will work for you!
