4 Tips for Successful Sales

Your shop should always meet the seasonal demands of your customers. We have put together some essential words of advice to turn any season into a success for your Shop.

#1: Add spice with variety

When people go shopping at high-end stores, they just take a look around 90% of the time. The same is true for online shopping. It’s hard to predict how a customer would want to combine a certain product in a special color with a particular design. This is why it’s a good idea for you to offer a good range of products to increase your Shop’s appeal while giving customers a bigger selection to choose from. Going overboard with a plethora of products is not advisable, but a sound selection of basic products with a handful or two of seasonal products added to the mix should meet the demands of most shoppers.

#2: Get your pricing right

Apart from having the right mix of products, affordable pricing will prove vital in increasing your chances to sell more. T-shirts for under $20 definitely sell a lot better than those priced closer to $30, so be sure to keep an eye on the final sales price when calculating your commission. As a rule of thumb, you’d be well advised to keep your commission under $5. Setting it between $2-4 will not only lower your total asking price, but it should increase your sales figures too.

#3: Offer designs for different occasions

It’s easier said than done: hitting the nail on the head, aka “providing designs with the right appeal to your peer group”, turns your Shop into a winner. You should provide designs that reflect the pulse and trends of time. If you choose designs from the Marketplace, be sure to pick those that are of distinguished quality. In this blog post you’ll find an inside peek at what people currently like, and we’ve also put together a pool of ideas for summer design topics that will show you what people are looking for right now. And one final tip on this matter: keep checking Pinterest to see what kind of designs are catching on at the moment.

# 4: Don’t forget your marketing

Once you have brought your Shop up to snuff by heeding the advice offered in the first few tips, all you need to do now is to hit the right note when promoting your Shop on social media. Keep posting on as many channels as possible, but don’t go overboard by beating your own drum too hard (aka when posting on Facebook). Next to pertinent advice on how to cater to social media, we have more tips for you on how to improve your public relations, SEO marketing and Google AdWords marketing. It may take a little time for you to get acquainted with this territory, but you can be sure it’ll go a long way towards your Shop’s success.

  1. Amongst the four suggestions, perhaps the most important one is marketing your product effectively. Even if you get the pricing right, offer designs and deals for different occasions, and stack up on variety, you aren’t going to make many sales if you do not have an effective marketing strategy. You strategy needs to be adaptive and flexible; and understanding of what the customer is in need of so that you can offer your products in such a way that customers feel incomplete without them in their lives. Hence, right usage of social media to enhance public relations is essential. The marketing strategy is what will seal the status of the business/product in the long run.
