Pantone Trend Colors 2016: Rose Quartz and Serenity

blog_pantone-of-the-year

Last year, the red’s earthy-dark sister color Marsala took center stage in fashion and designing circles all over the world. Well the game has changed in 2016, with soft, gentle pastels finding the spotlight. The color and style experts at the Pantone Color Institute have identified the new trend colors for the upcoming year. You read that right; this time there are two: Rose Quartz and Serenity are the melodious names of this year’s trendy duo of dyes.

Those with less of an inclination towards fashion and design may simply refer to Pantone’s color class of 2016 as “sky blue” and “baby pink”, but of course, there’s a bit more to it than that. As their names suggest, this year’s tones should evoke feelings and attitudes. Serenity should radiate clarity and sense of peace. The Rose Quartz – aside from the fact that the crystalline stone symbolizes love and matters of the heart—should evoke a feeling of warmth and comforting embrace. And wouldn’t you know it—both colors compliment each other beautifully. Together they symbolize peace, tranquility and balance, and who wouldn’t want a little slice of that pie?

Enough philosophizing. We’ll let the beautiful hues speak for themselves. Here you get an overview of the products we have in these trendy new shades. Immerse yourself in the harmonious blue-pink color scheme, populate your shops with Pantone’s color choices and watch your sales soar!
