The Pantone Color Institute is the world’s foremost authority in all things color. Each year—and based on an extensive expertise of fashion, cosmetic and interior decorating trends—Pantone releases their Color of the Year. The announcement is sought after the world over, as the color quickly ascends the rainbow to the “it” color, weaving its way into our homes, onto our clothing, and into the shades of our eye shadow.
So what is this year’s Color of the Year, you ask? Well wait no longer. Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2017 is… drum roll, please… Greenery! This spring-like shade of green, reminiscent of Granny Smith apples or fresh-cut grass, will soon be popping up on every street in previous years from the Pantone Colors of the Year “Marsala” (2015) and “Serenity and Rose Quartz” (2016).
