Our upcoming design contest revolves around weddings, but this topic is broader than you may think. To help you better prepare your submission, we’ve provided some wedding-themed design inspiration.
Weddings are so much more than bride and groom, “I Do,” and the kiss. If you want to maximize your sales in regards to this particular topic (and if you want to win the upcoming design contest), it’s important to understand how broad this theme actually is.
Graphics + Color Schemes
There are graphic trends that you’ll commonly see in wedding designs. Specifically, water colors, florals, and botanics have been trending in 2019. When preparing your designs, you should be referring to these trends for inspiration.
The same goes for colors; there are a number of trending wedding color schemes:
- Greenery
- Blush
- Dusty Rose
- Peach
- Color of the Year (Coral)
Products
If you’re intending to make sales with your wedding-themed designs, it’s important to remember how many different customer types you can appeal to. The designs (and accompanying products) could be used as a wedding gift, wedding favors, or even for bachelor/bachelorette parties. Remember to appeal to everyone who could be in the hunt for wedding designs, not just the bride and groom.
With that said, you should also consider that customers might not necessarily be looking for just apparel. They’ll be looking for a wide-range of products, and your designs should accommodate their demands.
The following products are considered to be suitable offerings for the “wedding” theme:
- Shirts
- Baby Bodysuits
- Tank Tops
- Mugs
- Drawstring Bags
- Tote Bags
- Posters
- Buttons
Now that you’ve received some inspiration, it’s time to start preparing your design for the upcoming contest. If you have any other wedding-themed tips or tricks, let us know in the comments!
