Keep Your Showroom On-Trend in 2020

New year, new trends. Check out this year’s design trends and get inspired!

Find out what your customers will be looking for in 2020. Make sure your Showroom always has a fresh, trendy look to hook new customers.

Focus on Typography

Huge, bold typography has been a recent graphic trend that will continue in 2020.

Typography has increasingly become a design element in its own right.  Typographic art and artistic typography work wonders in the world of web and offline design.  Let the words you feature speak for themselves and design typography that will blow Spreadshirt’s Marketplace customers away.

Line Art

Line Art is a boiled-down form of design that returns to the foundation of design itself.  Because what is the building block of every design?  Right—the humble line.

Line art is very reduced.  It’s about creating an image that is completely free of shading and perspective.  Line art has something iconographic about it, because the designer represents an object with just a few well-placed lines.

Particularly exciting line art designs are those that consist of a single, unbroken line.

Pastel Heaven

This year, pastel colors are the height of fashion.  Blush and nude tones are particularly popular.  This design trend is more about the color of clothes themselves— but it also affects designs!

What designs lend themselves to backdrops of dusty rose, sky blue, lemon yellow and sage green?  Cute or kitschy pictures, comic-style drawings, beach vibes and soft-serve ice cream come to mind.  Get inspired, for example, by the Japanese design style Kawaii (which simply means “cute”).

Minimalism

Even though other trends have entered the scene, minimalism is still a popular design style with no signs of dying out anytime soon.  In 2020, this means above all: neutral colors or a reduced color palette and no-frills, sans-serif fonts.  But minimalism also means leaving space in your designs and keeping with the maxim, “less is more.”

And the color of the year is…

“Classic Blue” is the color that the Pantone Color Institute has crowned the trend color this year.  This deep blue with the color code 19-4052 is great for designs featuring the sea and sky.

Pantone writes: “Instilling calm, confidence, and connection, this enduring blue hue highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.”

With this in mind: Time to enter a new era for your Showroom with these design trends!  We wish you a lot of fun designing in 2020!

  10. Hi,
I am happy to find a platform to sell my design like Spreadshop. Though, I did not make any sales yet I am very confident that I can do well in this platform. So far, this is the most complete POD site (according to me, I have joined 3 other POD platforms).
What more can you ask for? First of all, you have the best of both worlds – Spreadshirt and your own Shop (Spreadshop) where you have all the tools available to customize your own shop just like building a website except that it is for free. You can even fine tune your own SEO. I cannot do this with other platforms and I can see the results by monitoring my shop and other sites thru Google Analytics. Even though I only have about 6 designs here compared to 30 on other sites, this is just performing as well even with few designs.
The bottomline is, it is all up to individuals on how they put up their strategy. It’s a real life business per se.
Good luck everyone, and I hope to have my first sale soon!

  13. Hi Spread shirt….I want to sell my t- shirt on Market place, but I don’t know how to make it, Please help me
My shop Name is Nency fashion world

    • Hi Dr. Chandrakantsolanki,

if you upload a new design you can choose through which channel you want to publish it. It is almost the last step. You see all your shops (if you have more than one on the left side) and on the right side it says spreadshirt (marketplace). If you have designs already uploaded and published in your shop you can click on the design and there you can change the sales channels.

      Best regards,
      Sandra

  14. Dear Spreadshirt,

may I know why most of my designs are being rejected. It takes me a lot of time to design and upload them and in the end, they are rejected. I don’t understand why.

    • Hi Uttam,

please write an email with the IDs of the rejected designs to legal@spreadshirt.com. Our colleagues can give you more information on why your deisgns were rejected.

      Best regards,
      Sandra

  15. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN::
I sent you messages last week and I haven’t received responses. I’m sending you more and hope to get some response. I noticed that when We make a design on the T-shirts, etc, the design printed on the T-Shirt is ONLY a certain Medium size. We were wanting to make bold typography on the the T-Shirts and the System Doesn’t allow you to make the print larger. Also, how and where can you print Coffee Mugs, Necklaces, etc?? Let me know ASAP!! Thanks Victor Gonzales

  16. Spreadshirt has a system error identifying quality designs. My designs are perfectly fine and the dimensions for all of the merch platform like Amazon, Teespring, Redbubble has no flaw in their dimensions. Why Spreadhirt have this weird requirements of maximum 4000 x 4000 pixels. My pixels are set to Amazon’s standard 4500 x 5400 which gives a better print quality. Yet it is rejected due to the fact Spreadshirt system reads them over 4000 x 4000. And then reject all of my designs. Now I have to go back and edit everything one by one. Even worse.. Some designs I need to REDO it all over again. Sucks!

    • Hello Edy,

4000*4000 pixel is our recommendation. You can of course upload designs with more pixels. Please send the design ID of your rejected designs to partner@spreadshirt.com. My colleagues can give you more informations on why your designs have been rejected.

      Best regards,
      Sandra

    • Hi dear
for the measurements, do not forget that they are just at 72dpi, not 300dpi, if they are at 300dpi they will have a big weight in size, which weighs down the download, just to tell you that the impression is afit in digital and not in offset, then in my opinion between 72dpi and 150dpi with large surface works very well.
I hope I could help you.

  17. Hi spread shirt.. from last three months I am making designs for t shirt n accessories but not a single design clothes or accessories has been purchased by the people . Even I don’t hv any idea how people will come to know about my shops.
My shop name: International Fashion Zone / International Fashion Style.

    • नमस्कार सर मेरी बिक्री अभी तक नहीं है तो क्या मेरे डिजाइन का अविष्कार किया है मे बेहतर बनाने की कोशिश करुगा

  18. what is that line art of? two women naked? is that how you want everyone including children to see your company? you are vile and evil and sick and hell will be very hot for you forever.

    • Hi Vitthal,

please write an email with the IDs of the rejected designs to legal@spreadshirt.com. Our colleagues can give you more information on why your deisgns were rejected.

      Best regards,
      Sandra
