Kornit Setup Files (KSF) Improve Print Quality

Good news! With the help of new KSF print files we can further improve the print quality of our Kornit Atlas printers. You’ll find all of the details here!

How we used to print

Before the KSF file system, we could only control certain aspects of the printing process. Like the distance of the print head from the product, the pressure used to apply ink, and the amount of pre-spray used to adhere the ink. While this process resulted in good-looking prints, the new KSF file system is a big step up! Each product is unique, and with KSF files we can better adapt to special requirements and settings for different products.

Better prints, thanks to KSF

KSF files (Kornit Setup Files) are files specifically adapted to Kornit printers. Using the new file system, we can now automatically customize print jobs for each product. This means that our printers recognize the product and adjust the settings accordingly. Because of this, we can now vary the amount of ink applied, the resolution and the speed for each product type.

For the time being, the new files are only available for our newest presses – the Kornit Atlas printers. In the next step, we’ll introduce the file system across the board for all Kornit printing presses.

What the future looks like

In the future, we want to focus on product-specific printing and adapting print settings to different types of designs. This new standard will allow us to respond to individual design requirements based on size, color composition or richness of detail.

We’ll keep you informed as the next steps develop. Keep an eye out on the blog, newsletter and forum!

    • Hi Gayle,

as of right now this is not the case. Should we notice anything that would lead to changes having to be made, we will immediatly inform our designers about it!

      Best,

      Ben
