You’ve undoubtedly heard about the disaster that Mother Nature has brought upon the city of Houston, Texas over the past week. The nation’s fourth-largest city was devastated by high winds, relentless rainfall, and flooding brought on by Hurricane Harvey. Millions were forced from their homes and cars in mass exodus, the city’s residents taking refuge in the makeshift shelters of converted libraries, stadiums and warehouses.
We recently received a lot of Partner feedback regarding a design price cap implemented in Spreadshirt’s Create Tool. We have listened to your feedback, and have come up with a different solution that we believe will work for all involved: We have decided to remove the design price cap from the Spreadshirt Create Tool at the end of June. As a result, we will be changing how prices and designs are displayed.
Until now, all designs in the ‘Marketplace‘ and the ‘Create Tool‘ have been treated the same. Both areas of the website will now be streamlined to target different groups of customers. This will impact the search algorithm of the Create Tool. In future, only designs priced below a certain limit will be shown in the Create Tool. The design price you set will also affect the ranking.
When Lukasz Gadowski was 23 years old, the new millennium had just begun and t-shirts were just a practical piece of clothing. That didn’t keep the business student from spending a lot of his time advising a small textile printing company in the German city of Kassel. While working on strategic solutions for the company, the owner told him that printing individual items wasn’t worth the effort and was just too expensive. So Lukasz set out to optimize the process and told the company, “You have to do something on the Internet!”
Spreadshirt 15th anniversary is a very big reason to celebrate. As we approach the cusp of our business-youthfulness, we’d like to honor all those who have raised attention with t-shirt designs during the last 15 years. Walk with us down Memory Lane as we review design trends from the last 15 years that reflect not only a growing company, but a changing world. Three cheers for your ideas as we celebrate the t-shirt as a medium for expressing them!
