Spread Joy, One Rainbow at A Time
Rainy days are gloomy. Rainy days where a rainbow appears, however, are memorable. Right now, we’ve been going through a global rainy day of sorts. Much like a rainy day, we’ve been stuck inside. This time around though, we’re practicing social distancing because of COVID-19. During this time, one thing is abundantly clear: We could all use a little magic!
Kids in particular are feeling the effects of social distancing, not being able to go to the playground or see their friends. With this in mind, German blogger Anne Kuhlmann created the wonderful #Rainbowaction movement. Kids who have been stuck inside for weeks, are now encouraged to blow off some steam by creatively drawing rainbows on their doors and windows. These kid-friendly masterpieces, should be drawn on windows where pedestrians can see them and smile as they walk by. Alternatively, next time you go on a walk with kids in tow, you can count the rainbows on the windows.
The rainbows spread hope, joy, and a much-needed sense of community. We love this idea and are excited to share it on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter
If you’re not too keen on having your windows plastered with rainbows, don’t worry, you can still participate by adding a rainbow to your own custom T-shirt! Here are some wearable rainbow designs you can wear during your next walk!
