HTML v Wordpress Embed: SEO and Product Feed

Are there any main differences from and SEO perspective if I choose to embed my Spreadshop via API or HTML on Wordpress? After embedding with either option will the product links I have on Facebook from my feed break/change?

Hey Melographics!

From a SEO side there is no difference between those different embedding options.
All together are just a different option, for different experience levels of our users.
Indeed there is a difference between having an stand-alone shop and an embedded shop.

If you are working with Product Catalogs and the Product Feed in Facebook, everything is fine.
You only need to make sure that you are entering the final URL (where your shop will be found by customers) into the “Embedd Shop into Website” Section of your shop admin.

If this form is filled, all data is synched within the Product Feed.

Perfect! Have you yours the plug in before? It makes me select one page to put my shop on… but I want 2 different pages of my Spreadshirt shop to appear on 2 pages in my wordpress site:

  1. Spreadshirt “all” designs page on my wordpress shop page
  2. Spreadshirt “create” (T-shirt designee) page on my wordpress “custom” page.
Should I go the embed HTML direction instead of the plugin to accomplish this?

Thanks for your help!

Yes, you will need to deeplink both shop pages manually. The WP PlugIn only allows to embedd the shop in general.
We might improve the PlugIn step by step into this direction, but in between you will need to use the code snippet from the shop admin and extend it for each application

Maybe that one helps you:
