I’ve gotten my shop setup. It’s awesome. I’m driving traffic through google shopping and I’m noticing customers bouncing after doing site searches. It seems that the search function doesn’t work so well for non-keyword queries. For instance “santa hat” brings up “Your search didn’t yield any results” when there are “caps” for the related keyword. I think the search function should bring up and show results for the exact search term and then followed with results in for each individual word in the query. IE, it pulls everything related to “santa hat” + “santa” + “hat”. That way there is less room for no results and lost customers. Any way this can be improved before the holiday rush? It needs a little love.
