Spreadshirt Accelerates International Expansion

Launches new country domains for Australia, Canada and Switzerland

BOSTON, MA, September 25, 2014: Spreadshirt continues their rapid international scale up with additional country domains in Australia, Canada and Switzerland. Consumers can access the platform of the European market leader for print-on-demand clothing and accessories with their own country address and enjoy the ability to pay in their local currency. With the establishment of three new top-level domains www.spreadshirt.com.au, www.spreadshirt.ca and www.spreadshirt.ch, the global e-commerce innovator is now active in 19 markets. Customers can select from 12 languages and 11 currencies. The options are as unique as each culture: the Swiss site offers French, German, and Italian versions.

The launch of these new domains demonstrates the Spreadshirt commitment to a truly global platform with a carefully planned international expansion to deftly address each individual market with a great customer experience. Recently, the company acquired the Brazilian e-commerce business Vitrinepix (www.vitrinepix.com.br), gaining them direct and immediate access to one of the fastest growing e-commerce markets in the world.

“Our buyers and sellers operate globally,” said Philip Rooke, CEO of Spreadshirt. “With our additional, country-specific offerings, we simplify orders and marketing ideas. We continually refine the basis for even greater customer satisfaction and deeper reach.”
Rapid internationalization is one of the key strategic goals for the e-commerce platform for 2014. Spreadshirt currently sells 80% of all orders outside of Germany and ships to over 200 countries. The streamlining of language, currency, and shipping simplifies global logistics and easily enables Spreadshirt sellers to offer their products around the globe without supply chain headaches.
