Spreadshirt Responds to Customer Demand with Own Clothing Collection

eCommerce Platform Creates Own Clothing Line Optimized for Customization and Ethically Produced

Boston – 26 September 2013Spreadshirt, the e-commerce platform for creating, buying and selling ideas on things that consumers love to wear, use and carry, announces a T-shirt revolution by launching its own clothing collection in North America. The line is designed to complement the existing products on Spreadshirt’s website and follows the launch of the product line in Europe in March of this year.

The Spreadshirt North America Collection will be produced in Bangladesh using the highest quality products, optimized for print-on-demand for cut and fabric, and is fully compliant with ethical sourcing and production (as certified by Fair Wear foundation, Confidence in Textiles, Respect-Code.org). With a DNA code, unique to each batch, consumers can fully trace their t-shirt purchase through www.respect-code.org from shipment to the cotton fields.

With a choice of 10 colors, a range of styles for men, women and children in sizes small to 5XL, the collection is a perfect option for online partners, individuals, families and groups looking to create, buy and sell quality clothing with social responsibility at the core of production.

Philip Rooke, CEO at Spreadshirt, notes “We are passionate about making sure our customers want to wear and use our printed products every day. Increasingly, in this industry, we have found that existing base products can restrict the final product quality in terms of fit, color-matching, or ability to handle different print types to match customers’ demands. In order to provide the highest quality items, while balancing value for affordable products, and to become less dependent on third party’s stock levels, Spreadshirt decided to develop its own product line. This way, we can guarantee a great wearing experience for our brand partners and end customers. In addition to the focus on quality, Spreadshirt is proud to offer our own ethically produced US Collection to demonstrate our commitment to quality and responsible corporate citizenship to resonate with our concerned consumers and partners.”

The Spreadshirt collection will be expanded with additional products such as long-sleeved styles, tops and accessories to offer loyal customers a ‘recommended’ article in each product category.
