Spreadshirt takes the Silver Stevie Award in 2013

Specialized Customer Service Award for Design Enhancements

Boston, MA – March 14, 2013 Spreadshirt, the e-commerce platform for creating, buying and selling ideas on things that consumers love to wear, use, and carry, was awarded the Silver Stevie Award for enhancements to the design experience for consumers at a ceremony in Vegas last month.

This highly coveted accolade was awarded for the collaborative effort of the design team with software engineers to create “Ginger”. This unique software automates design edits and dramatically improves the customer experience, platform usability, and reduces the speed of design approval from one business day to a few seconds. The rapid turn around of design submission gives the team more time to recheck designs reported because of a potential copyright or legal infringement issues. The impact upon production efficiency is notable- in a year’s time content review doubled, time per product decreased from 12 to 7 seconds, with no decrease in quality or service.

The automation and productivity gains pioneered by Ginger allowed the Designs Service Team to launch a new service “Graphics Service”. This allows partners with limited graphical abilities but great ideas to produce designs with top tier professional images that they can be proud of and actively promote and sell. The innovative EU Designs Services Team is led by Hannes Doering; his continual focus on efficient processes, top quality design creation, printing techniques, quality, and the upload process has resulted in very high standards for the customer experience and service design and has greatly enhanced the e-commerce platform.

“Spreadshirt is very focused on enhancing the consumer and brand experience with our state of the art platform. The Design Services Team embodies our corporate culture with their innovative, change-oriented mindset. We are thrilled that their efforts have been rewarded by this prestigious award and rigorous judging process.” Philip Rooke, CEO, Spreadshirt.
