You’d imagine a Marketplace full of bustling activity, so it came as no surprise that Spreadshirt’s Marketplace was all hustle and bustle in 2019 as well. Here are the highlights!
A Marketplace for everyone
The biggest achievement for us – and for you – was moving some 180,000 Partners to the new and improved Partner Area. Now all designers can enjoy the same Marketplace benefits. The new features help you save time, navigate faster and get informed by up-to-date statistics. We are quite proud of these advancements, as these numbers demonstrate:
- 91,000 Partners in North America and 90,000 Partners in Europe were migrated
- 100 GB of products were transferred
Printing out the amount of data transferred on sheets of paper would amass 50 million pages! The challenge was to transfer the data of 180,000 partners simultaneously, which resulted in designs losing their timestamps. If we had transferred each product individually to keep the timestamps, the data transfer would have taken a total of 3.5 years.
Your own App
Spreadshirt’s old statistics app was not very popular. That’s why we’ve developed a completely new and shiny app: the SpreadApp for Android and iOs!
The Android app alone has already been downloaded over 5000 times. We’re happy that you like the app!
Spreadshop coming of age
Spreadshop has now officially turned into its own brand. If you run a Showroom with Marketplace designs and a Spreadshop, you’re still working in the same Partner Area but get separate overviews. This also applies to topics, features, news, the forum and the blog.
11 design competitions – 33 winners
In 2019, we had 11 competitions and selected 33 winning designs. A total of 30,000 designs worldwide were uploaded for the competitions alone. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all participants for submitting their creative ideas!
11 incredible designers of the month
Cheeky slogans, typography designs, political statements and tons of awesome ideas – we interviewed 11 incredibly talented designers with standout Showrooms. And we learned a lot in the process – e.g. that designing should always be fun!
