1. Why should I take part?

Every day we see your breath taking, creative designs. It’s time to channel that creativity into a little competition and give your creations the chance to get a proper marketing boost.

Push your creativity to new levels and sharpen those additional skills you’ve been wanting to practice! Plus: the more creative your content, the more likely you will be able to move up to a higher star class, increasing the visibility of your designs and sales.

Oh, and not to mention the cash prizes, campaign features, and vouchers to be won, but more on that later…

2. How can I take part?

Here’s the low down, short and sweet:

  • Each participant may only submit ONE design. If we receive several designs from one person, our jury will only consider the first design.
  • Designers of all star classes are eligible to participate
  • The participating design must be uploaded within 4 weeks (28 days) after the start of the contest
  • The participating design must be tagged with the contest keyword to be considered by the jury. The keyword will be announced with the theme of the design contest and will also be available on the design contest page
  • Designs uploaded before the start date of the competition will not be considered by our jury
  • For a fair competition: We reserve the right to exclude AI designs that we can directly recognize and classify as such from the competition
  • Further information can be found in the attached terms and conditions (see below)

The contest starts with the announcement of the design contest theme and lasts 4 weeks (28 days). We will update this page as soon as there’s news about the contest. You will find the most important information at the top of the page. So make sure to check back regularly!

And as always: by taking part in our design competition, you automatically accept our conditions of participation and our privacy policy.

3. How are the winners selected?

Step 1: Our design experts will review each and every design of thousands of submissions. Then they’ll select the top 20 based on the following criteria:

  • The effect on the product: does the design come out well on a Spreadshirt product?
  • Relation to the topic: how relevant and appropriate is the design for the competition?
  • Very important – creativity: is the design unique and original?
  • Art is about skill: does the design show solid creative skills?

The jury will award points for each criterion on a scale of 0 to 3. This means that a design can receive a minimum of 0 and a maximum of 12 points from each jury member. To determine the total score, the points awarded by all jury members will be added up. This will determine the top 20.

Step 2 : From the selected top 20, the 10 top-rated designs automatically make it to the second step of the voting. The three winners will be determined by an internal vote by Spreadshirt employees. The first three places go to those whose design received the highest rating. The top 10 designs are also determined according to the rating results.

When announced, you’ll find all the winners here: The Top 20 finalists and the winners of the Top 10 will be announced publicly both on this page and by e-mail.

4. What are the prizes I can win?

  • The top 20 finalists will be presented on a promoted page on our website and in the newsletter
  • The top 10 will win a $25 Spreadshirt voucher
  • The top 5 will also be featured on Instagram
  • The top 3 winners will be featured on our blog and win these prizes
  • 1st place: cash prize of $150 AND a feature in one of our biggest campaigns, the T-shirt of the week!
  • 2nd place: cash prize of $100

  1. Hey there! I’m [ROKY], a passionate T-shirt designer fueled by creativity and a love for wearable art. With a blend of imagination and technique, I bring designs to life that not only look good but also tell stories and evoke emotions.

    🎨 My Style: 🎨

My design style is eclectic, drawing inspiration from pop culture, nature, and everyday life. Whether it’s bold graphics, intricate illustrations, or witty typography, I strive to create designs that resonate with people of all ages and backgrounds.

    🔍 My Process: 🔍

I believe in the power of observation and imagination. I immerse myself in various sources of inspiration, from vintage posters to contemporary art, to spark ideas. From sketching concepts to refining details on digital platforms, every step of my process is infused with passion and precision.

    💡 My Vision: 💡

Beyond just aesthetics, I aim to create designs that make a statement, provoke thought, or simply bring a smile to someone’s face. Each T-shirt is more than just fabric and ink; it’s a canvas for self-expression and connection.

  2. Every day we see your breath taking, creative designs. It’s time to channel that creativity into a little competition and give your creations the chance to get a proper marketing boost.

  3. Way to go Jessica 🙂 , Good answer.

Zachary, you sound like a very angry & privileged little boy, busy hating the world around you.
As Jessica mentioned, unless you are a native American, your ancestors were probably illegal, border crossing violent criminals – They had to be to fight the British rule on the land and claim their freedom (Today that is referred to as ‘patriots’)

Try spending more time loving your surroundings and spreading the love
Your world may look a little less dark 🙂

  4. If you are from the United States you live in a socialist country. You have for a really long time. It may not be called that but what do you think social security is, public schools, state assistance. The list goes on and on. You don’t have to understand all of it, or agree with everything, but is the hate really necessary. So please tell me you are 100 percent American. Technically I think you would need to be Indian. Because last I checked the majority of us, our foreigners. Thank God when our ancestors came over on whatever boat they came in, there wasn’t a wall. I’m sure there’s some Indians that wish they would’ve done that. It’s insane that you can start a comment with that much prejudism, hate and ignorance and at the same time claim the moral high ground.

  5. Now that someone mentioned addressing real issues in this country. I gotta applaud spreadshirt for standing up and coming up with a contest that faces one of the biggest issues, that it’s sad to still see in this country like prejudism. I can stand beside love, cause hating anyone for being different is ignorant. We are all different and we all deserve love and a voice. Thanks spreadshirt I’m a little late, but i will do my best to participate.

  6. I’ve submitted some really cool designs that were rejected once. I’m so happy to showcase my talent with the Pot Princess

  7. I already entered based on previous email with the theme etc …? Nothing was mentioned about tagging it with a special word. Now I’m confused.

    • Hi Heidi,

The theme and the tag of the contest will be announced on this page and by e-mail very soon. All rules and conditions you can find in the attached T&C’s on the design contest page as well.🙂

      Best regards,

      Kristina from Spreadshirt
