Design Game is on! #Spreadgaming Design Contest is live

Spreadshirt, global ecommerce platform for buying, selling, and creating of ideas on things that consumers love to share, use, and carry, has launched their first design contest for 2016. It taps into the fun, creative and competitive spirit of global gamers as it unites the community with a contest for best marketplace designs and the chance to win $150 voucher to Steam, the Playstation Store, Nintendo eShop, or Xbox Live for new games, accessories or even a new platform for new gaming gear. Participants also have the chance to win the coveted title of King or Queen of Gamer Design Glory.

The contest is live from February 25 to March 17; designs are uploaded to the Spreadshirt Marketplace with the tag #spreadgaming and each design is automatically entered to win. The top six best designs (as chosen by Spreadshirt design experts) will be posted on the Spreadshirt Facebook page with the global community of gamers voting on their favorites from March 23 to March 27. The winner will be announced on March 31 via email, newsletter and Facebook with the $150 prize and a chance to bask in the glory of Best Design bragging rights on the global Gamer Spreadshirt stage.

Spreadshirt knows that fan creativity has tremendous potential and that the new world order for Fanwear is all about sharing instant ideas, rather than the old licensing model of a six month lead time of official designs that are irrelevant by the time they hit the market,” says Philip Rooke, CEO of Spreadshirt. “Spreadshirt is committed to merchandise for the fans, by the fans. It is time to work with fans rather than against them. Today’s licensed merchandise needs to be as current YouTube or Twitter conversations. We continually work on enhancements to our platform and licensing services to work with this social media generation in an age of instant commerce and keep it fun.”
