Spreadshirt announces new CTO: Guido Laures

Boston, MA- November 15, 2013– Guido Laures, has been named Chief Technology Officer and member of the Spreadshirt executive team, as he assumes the overall responsibility for the European and North American IT sectors of the international e-commerce platform. He will manage both operational and staffing issues for all IT departments, with duties encompassing everything from development to internal IT services.


As CTO, Guido follows both Matthias Spiess, co-founder of Spreadshirt, who left the company in October 2012, after serving as CTO for more than ten years and interim CTO Kai W. Zimmermann. Laures expects to build on the successes of his predecessors including the recent restructuring of IT with a focus on transparency and flexibility in the implementation of agile projects and sustaining the legacy of innovation.

Prior to joining Spreadshirt, Laures was an executive at itCampus, a subsidiary of Software AG. He served as Vice President of Global Consulting. Previous career highlights also include associations at SAP, the Hasso Plattner Institute and Daimler research.
